About a win heavy easter weekend!

There are some Mondays that are better than others - read about how our team won 3 races in one day in Schönaich, Bilster Berg and Osnabrück!

In Schönaich we had Jade Treffeisen and Katharina Hechler on the line for the elite race over 6 laps and 54 demanding kilometer. Key feature of the course was a 700 meter ramp averaging 6,6% (peak 14%) just before the last stretch to the finish - the Wolfenberg. The race was selective from the first couple of meters and Jade and Katharina managed to stay in the main group over the whole race. With one lap to go Katharina was able to make the race winning move and could celebrate her first victory of the young season - congratulations!

In the elite mens race we had Luca Brugger, Marcel Peschges, Clemens Averdung, Hermann Keller and Thomas Lienert on the line. We missed the group of the day, invested a lot effort into a chase group, but without any result. Marcel managed to break away from the field after two hours of racing and managed to finish P21 in a long and demanding race over 140 kilometer with 2.100 meter of climbing.

"The result could've been better, but it was a good race in preparation for the Tour du Benin!" said Hermann after the race looking forward to the first UCI stage race which we attend by the end of April.

At the Drive Resort Bilster Berg, close to Bad Driburg, we had Heiko Homrighausen as a soloist on the line for the mountain nationals. The 4,2 kilometer track with its 19 turns had to been lapped 20 times which summed up the elevation gain to 1.900 meter within "just" 82 kilometer of racing.

"The wide track didn't require any technical skill and with the descent being a headwind section it was impossible to break away alone. After 9 or 10 laps a promising group went which had somewhat around 2 minutes advantage to the field, but got brought back. Together with two other cyclists I attacked immediately after the field was compact and the break made it to the line where I could win the sprint against Justin Wolf from Leopard Pro Cycling!" said Heiko after the race. Congratulations to this class victory!

The third and final victory of the weekend was delivered by all star Julian Hellmann in a flat race over 62 kilometer close to Osnabrück. Julian who recently changed to a new club, the RRG Osnabrück, was highly motivated to prove his form after his third place two weeks ago. "It wasn't easy to make a selection on a flat course like this, but together with two other cyclists I could establish a gap after somewhat 20 kilometer. After other riders could bridge to our break away I attacked over and over again until only a few riders were left. With 5 kilometer to go I could increase the speed again and only Lasse Nassebrandt (Team MaxWatt) was left who I could beat in the sprint!"

Fantastic job ending a very successful easter monday with another win! Thanks to our partners and everyone involved!
