Three Races, Four Podiums - our weekend!

We've been racing in Pulheim, Martigny (SUI), Zusmarshausen and Esplingerode last weekend and here is how it went! #embracetheworldcycling

With rain, snow and temperatures below 0° the weather forecast for racing in Europe wasn't the most promising, but no matter the weather, its always awesome when we ride together! With that said, lets look back at our weekend. In Pulheim we've participated with Anton Benedix, Anna Giesen, Benedikt Helbig and David Kramer on the first edition of a fast four corner criterium over a bit more than 50 kilometer. Very welcomin, theres been a race dedicated to female cyclists who usually start with the juniors or seniors category. Anna Giesen was pleased about this and secured P3 - congratulations!

After winning the last race of the season 2021, Rund um die Telgter Windräder, it was about time that Julian Hellmann got himself back into racing! Together with Sebastian Beyer he was on the line for a nearly 69 kilometer long race in central Germany, Esplingerode! The race unfolds to our liking and Julian Hellmann made his way into the decisive group where he sprinted to a strong P3 at the end of the race and secured the second Podium this weekend, awesome!

Far down south in Martigny (SUI), in between luxurious alpine resorts and excellent vineyards, we had Matthias Plattner, Katharina Hechler, Mario Boll and Jade Treffeisen on the line for some demanding racing. The 33 kilometer lap had everything a selective race needs to offer, sharp twists and turns, punchy ramps, poor pavement, wind affected straights and super fast tailwind downhills. If all of that wouldn't be challenging enough, there's been 2° C and slight snowfall at the start line. The weather luckily went, just as the race, more and more to our liking as Jade and Katharina managed to race themself in a promising group. After a lot of hard work and nearly 100 kilometer over said course, the duo finished P2 & P3 - awesome team work, congratulation!

The boys meanwhile finished their race over 160 kilometer in the bunch. Matthias spent the whole day in the chase group and invested a lot of work to close the gap to the leading group, put without success. Taking the really demanding course into account, an outstanding performance!
